A Few Hours of Labor This Labor Day

We are looking for volunteers to help take down the bridge at the temple in the font. You do not have to be handy, just able bodied. Men and women are invited to join us at 9:00 AM on Monday the 7th, Labor Day. As much time as your able to devote would be great, even a few hours is fine.

Social Action Update

The Hartford Jewish Coalition for Literacy (HJCL) is currently recruiting new reading mentors.  This project has been one of the most successful endeavors of the Social Action Committee and many congregants have served as Tutors in the past.  Training will be held on the following dates:    
 
    Fall Training for NEW Reading Mentors through HJCL
 
    Wed, Sept. 9      7:00 PM - 9:30 PM   -  JCC Adult Lounge
         OR
    Thurs, Sept. 17   9:00 AM - 11:30 AM  -  JCC Adult Lounge
