Financial Planning In A Turbulent Economic Environment

The Men's Club invites all Temple members and friends to attend our next meeting on Sunday, February 7. The topic for discussion is: Financial Planning In A Turbulent Economic Environment. How do you start financial planning at any age? When do you begin planning for retirement? Are there tools to help with planning for college? Can you assist your elderly parents with their planning?

These and other issues related to your financial well-being will be discussed by Carl Anderson, a financial representative with Barnum Financial Group, an office of MetLife.

This will be an informational meeting with real tips that you can use today and every day.

This meeting is open to all. Please join us at 9:00 a.m. for coffee and bagels and 9:30 for the program. For further information contact Carlos Fuentes.

FVJC Music Shabbat

Friday, February 5, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. the Simsbury Light Opera Choristers (SLOCO), will join us for our Shabbat worship. During our service they will be singing several beautiful Jewish choral selections, including the inspiring " Jerusalem of Gold." Please come to welcome them and be uplifted by their singing.

Friday, February 26, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. our new FVJC-Emek Shalom Adult Choir will make its debut. Don't miss hearing your fellow congregants enhance our worship with their beautiful singing. We are looking forward to being a very special part of services that evening.

Kiddush, Kaddish, & Kashes

You won't want to miss our next Shabbat Morning Service on Saturday, February 6 at 9:00 a.m. in the multipurpose room.  Along with a short worship service, we will explore the topic of "Torah and Yoga."  To take full advantage of this experience, don't forget to wear comfortable clothing.  Remember that B'nai Mitzvah students who attend with a family member will receive a Shabbat Service credit.
