Jewish Family Services Food Pantry

The Jewish Family Services Food Pantry needs your support to meet their increasing need. There is a large basket outside the Sanctuary for your deposits. Our congregation is committed to on-going food collection effort to provide Kosher food for Jewish citizens in need because of age, disabilities, or chronic illness.

Please check to see that your non-perishable food donation has one of the following symbols on it for Kosher.

Junior Congregation on January 23

Our next Junior Congregation Dinner is only two weeks away. Your check must be received by Tuesday, January 20, in order to attend the dinner. Of course, you are always welcome to join us for the 6:00 pm service.

Cost for the event is $5/person. Please send your check to the FVJC-ES School Office or to Sue Lerner at 64 Scoville Road, Avon, CT 06001. Don't forgot to bring a dessert to share, please. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on the 23rd!

Coming This Spring

Don't miss the FVJC-Emek Shalom Comedy Night on March 28. Three comedians will present a PG-13 rated show:  EJ Murphy, Linda Belt and Bob DiBuono.  This event is opened to all Temple members as well as the community at large.  Some advertising will be done locally.  The price is $30 per person with a special price of $200 for a table of 8.  Wine and refreshments will be served.  Contact Randi Chin for more information or to reserve your seats.
