One of the major objectives of the Board of Directors is to evaluate and plan necessary repairs, replacement, and funding for house and property issues. There can be no question that we must actively plan and execute for the long term needs of our congregation, especially the property related issues. Over the past two months, several congregants have come forward to help, whether it is in proposed donations or utilization of their expertise to define the priorities of immediate versus long term needs.
Four major projects need to be addressed in the next year:
- major asphalt repair of the circle and area around the old sanctuary
- heating unit and carpeting replacement at our entrance way
- replacement of carpeting in the newer education wing hallway,
- replacement of the boiler.
Our initial estimates are that the costs of these projects will be approximately $25,000. While we have some funds to handle the smaller issues, we need assistance to complete these projects.
