Vision

Where we wish to go:

Be a highly respected synagogue community where:

  • Congregants come to worship, are active, engaged, and inspired to become lifelong members while sustaining a solid foundation;
  • All are welcome and cared about, elders are revered and children are cherished;

History

We began as twelve Jewish families coming together in a Simsbury home. Our Temple was incorporated with the UAHC as a Reform congregation in 1960, and today, we have more than 200 families, nearly one-third of whom are interfaith.

We offer a variety of celebrations, education programs, and worship opportunities for our varied interests. We want to build a community based on inclusiveness, where everyone is welcome, regardless of age, marital status, sexual orientation, a Jew by birth or by choice.
