Membership dues help us provide you services-- such as ensuring our clergy is available for Shabbat services and important Life Cycle events; providing you information through The Shofar and FVJC.org; and perpetuating opportunities to inform and serve all citizens in the Farmington Valley as a congregation. Offer your time.
FVJC has a number of committees who help ensure that our many programs and services operate smoothly. From special events such as our Wine and Jazz Night, to creating and managing Education programs for all ages, to ensuring good stewardship of our long-term resources, there are a number of committees that could use your help. Make a financial contribution.
FVJC relies on financial contributions to provide additional services or programs outside our general operating budget. This includes offering scholarships to Religious School, providing programs to connect with the greater Farmington Valley and Hartford communities, and offsetting unplanned expenses.
Our fundraising efforts include the Silent Appeal during the High Holidays, and the springtime Nest Egg appeal. Donations are accepted throughout the year.
In 2007, FVJC began The Eternal Light Campaign, an endowment campaign to generate resources to provide educational, cultural, and religious programs. These funds will ensure that our congregation and our community can continue to be a welcoming light for worship, celebration, service, and learning.
