Our Religious School faculty, led by Principal Marlena DeRosa, emphasize learning through active student participation and involvement in all aspects of Jewish life. At every grade level, programs include music, library, story-telling, and art programs that align with our Hebrew and history learning. Our program also includes Shabbat Services with grade participation, Sunday morning Family Education workshops, and a Mentor program for B'Nai Mitzvah students.
Students begin exploring Jewish history, holidays, art, music, and literature through age-appropriate activities, stories, and lessons.
They also begin to learn Hebrew, learning the letters and familiar words.
Students in grades K through 3 meet most Sundays from September through May from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. The Religious School calendar for the upcoming year will be posted soon.
We also offer a school for preschoolers which meets for two hours each month, called Gan Katon. This program is free to temple members.
Once a student enters 4th grade, their Religious Education is augmented with Wednesday Hebrew School. Click here for more information.
After your child becomes a Bar or Bat Mitvah, they can continue their religious education through our outstanding Midrashei Chayim program. Click here for more information and to register for this program.
