7th Grade Needs Your Help to Make Purim Carnival a Success

Our seventh grade class at Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation is making
you aware of the Purim Carnival to be held on Sunday, March 16, 2008.
Religious school is 9-10am; the Purim Spiel will be from 10-11am and the
Carnival immediately following from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Parents are
encouraged and welcome from 10am.

Our carnival has been held at FVJC Emek Shalom for the past 10 years and
raises money for various charities. This year our 7th grade class has
decided to donate the proceeds to an organization that plants trees in
Israel as we "Go Green" and replace our carbon footprint as well as making a
donation to the Save Darfur fund, a humanitarian organization that helps
prevent genocide.

We are asking parents for special assistance in helping us make this
carnival a very special event. Here are ways you can help:

We are raising donations from Parents for more conducive prizes for our
older students as we reengineer our games and prizes for the entire school.

If you are able to donate either a small gift certificate or a new toy
(possibly an unused left over Chanukah gift card or toy) for this event we
would use it as a prize for our carnival. Besides being greatly appreciative
for any personal donation we will note any corporate generosity by
advertising your company on the day of the event which will also encourage
our congregants to patronize these establishments.

Can you help with baking a plate of either nut free cookies, brownies or
other baked goods? If so please email we back so we can monitor our
donations.
