The Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony formally marks when a person is held responsible for his actions and accepts his obligation to live a Jewish life.

At Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation, we joyously help our students prepare for this landmark event. Each Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a milestone for the entire FVJC family. Typically, both the Rabbi and Cantor, and members of the FVJC Board of Directors, participate in the ceremony.

Below are three resources regarding Bar/Bat Mitzvah process. Please feel free to download these documents and save them for future reference.
